Thor’s Hammer — Mjölnir

Some symbols do not need explaining.

Mjölnir is more than Thor’s weapon. In Norse tradition the hammer is tied to the thunder god’s role as a protector of Midgard, and hammer-shaped amulets survive from the Viking Age. That history is part of why the symbol still reads immediately, even without a figure of Thor beside it.

This interpretation gives the hammer enough scale to stand as an object in its own right rather than a small accessory. The silver-effect finish and dark knotwork suit a mythology collection, gaming room or Viking-inspired display, and the piece can be shown upright or horizontally depending on the space.
